Carla Bannon is a native of Kiltale, Dunsany, County Meath. She studied Law in University College Galway, graduating in 1996 with an honours BA and achieving her honours LLB in 1998. Carla qualified as a solicitor in 2002, having completed her traineeship in Galway. A year later she moved back to her native County Meath and has practiced in Dunshaughlin ever since. Carla has a wide breadth of experience in Conveyancing, Property, Wills and Succession Planning, Family Law, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation and Criminal Law. Carla has a particular interest in the issues facing older people and recently completed the Law Society of Ireland Certificate in Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2016. Carla is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has recently successfully completed the Law Society's Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning.
Carla lives in Trim with her husband and four young children. In her limited free time, she enjoys running and volunteering in community projects. Carla was an active member of the Trim Playground Development Committee, the Summerhill Playground Development Committee and the chairperson of Trim Educate Together Start Up Group. Carla is currently a member of the Trim ETNS Board of Management.
